Hey everyone!
The long awaited NCA/ALIAS dress rehearsal for the WPLN "Live in Studio C"
broadcast, will be held, especially for us, Monday the 20th of February at
7pm on the campus of Fisk University.
Each composer will have their piece performed/rehearsed by ALIAS and you
will be able to ask each composer any questions about their music. This
is a wonderful opportunity to support each other as composers and to get
to know each other's music.
Composers have been described as "rogue rhinos" ambling through life with
little or no acknowledgement of each other. That is very unfortunate. It
is a big world with lots of music to be composed, each composer with
his/her own voice. Come this Monday night and hear what some of your
fellow Nashville/Tennessee area composers are doing!
The rehearsal will be in the Appleton Room in Jubilee Hall at Fisk.
The rehearsal will be in the Appleton Room in Jubilee Hall at Fisk.
You can follow the instructions below; then to get to Jubilee Hall, you
need to get to Meharry St., which is one block north of Phillips (Meharry
runs parallel to Phillips). You can park in either the spaces toward the
end of the street once you get to the cul de sac or in the parking lot to
your left which will be right behind Spence Hall.
Once you enter Jubilee Hall, you'll be in the lobby. Turn right, going
through the hallway and then go left. It's a big room that looks like a
meeting room.
